Does it have a raised track bar bracket or would i have to get one separately?
The axle does feature a built in raised track bar location well suited for lifted Jeep applications so you can eliminate an aftermarket track bar bracket for improving the Jeep's axle center. Thanks for your inquiry.
Is this the two-pinion design e-locker or the four-pinion Design?
The locker that is used in these axles is the same locker that is used in production Rubicon Wranglers. It is a 2-pinion design
Hi, will this part serve as a direct replacement for the "Next Gen. Dana 44 HD Front axle with 4:1 Rock-Track HD Part Time 4WD Sys" that came stock on my 2011 Jeep Rubicon JK?
You can expect the same performance from this axle, but they do not use the same locker and switch system that is on your Jeep. This will require the use of an external switch and wiring system. will my dana 30 knuckles fit this? What else will I need to convert from the dana 30 to this?
You will reuse your knuckles and brake hardware for this axle, you should only need the switch and wiring kit ( see Our Experts Recommend area ) to operate the locker.
does it have a locker ?
Yes the details list an Electronic Locker that is included and installed with this axle. The wiring harness is included for operation of the new locker.
Does this have the proper bracket for a draglink flip?
You will reuse your factory knuckles with this axle, therefore the drag link will be positioned the same as factory unless you use a flip kit.
Does the axel come with ball joints?
Yes the ball joints are included
One more question... I know I am supposed to reuse my knuckles but I am purchasing this Dana 44 to replace my Dana 30, will my Dana 30 knuckles fit on to the Dana 44?
Yes the knuckles are the same for Dana 30 and Dana 44. The only concern would be if you have the Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD. That uses CV axle shafts and has a different knuckle than that standard Command Trac 4WD and U-joint axles. You want knuckles for u-joint style axle shafts.
I was wondering what the inner diameter is on the axle tubes? I have recently ordered one and I would like to also buy some sleeves, I was sure if the thicker 5/16" thickness effected the I.D...also any recommendations for sleeves that will work?
2-1/2" (Tube Diameter) - 2 x 5/16" (wall thickness)= 1-7/8" I.D.
