Like others have posted, modification may be needed, especially if you have a lift on your YJ. That said, there's a good chance you've already had to do some trimming of the tub or stock cover to accommodate your shifter in 2nd, 4th, and Reverse so you should expect to do a little trimming of this piece. Also, replacing the inner boot with an aftermarket replacement is almost certain to require some cutting of the boot, and that shouldn't be a knock on this cover from Warrior. At the end of the day, I appreciated being able to drill a few new holes, install some fresh hardware, and make sure everything buttoned up nicely the way I like it. Fully installed, this looks and works perfect.

I installed the aluminum diamond plate in my '93 YJ that has a 3-4 inch lift. Since my shifter opening had already been trimmed a bit more for relief when in 2nd, I had to move the plate back a bit. First thing I did was mig weld up all the previous holes in the floor pan around the opening to have a fresh start, using the holes in the new plate. It looks good but could be a bit larger on the length, at least a half inch longer would be ideal. I did not have any metal under the front two holes to fasten to but was able to place large fender washers underneath and use nuts and bolts on those two holes.

Looks great but installation took some effort with the inner boot.

Love the look, but I had to ditch the inner shift boot and grind off some of the plate towards the rear middle portion of the product in order to fit.
