Reviews for Corbeau D125T Passenger Side Complete Seat Bracket for 76-90 Jeep CJ-7 & Wrangler YJ
fit well
This is 2 inches lower than stock cj7 brackets. My mastercraft seats were too high in the stock brackets and these were perfect height. A little modification is necessary though to fit.
Very sturdy. However they do NOT line up with floor pan holes. I put the legs in the vise and carefully bent the legs out to fit just a little bit. Used dead blow hammer and a couple well placed hits to move some of the legs left or right. Didn’t have to hit them more than a couple times. Did not affect the frame at all. I then started all the bolts in the floor and tightened them all without the seat on it to straighten everything out before installing on the seat itself. Everything went together very nicely. Ride height is much better than stock seat brackets. Plenty of room for my legs with the sport seats.
Bought for an 88 Wrangler, fit jeep fairly well. Had to make mounting brackets for the Smittybilt standard bucket.
Bolts right in really means "be willing to wrestle with it, and you should be able to make it work.." But it did go in eventually, and lowered the baja seat enough to fit in my '89 yj.. With the stock riser and corbeau adapter, my feet were nowhere near reaching the pedals (I'm 5'7").. Now that it's in, I'm happy with it, and the new seats..
Had to bend brackets a fit the floor bolt holes. Other than that they are strong and work great
Passenger side didn’t match at all Baha bracket are no where near bolting up you’d think if it’s ordered for a specific Jeep it would be right especially the money you pay for the seats and then brackets
I installed these on my 1995 YJ. They DO NOT line up with factory mounting holes out of the box. I used the exacting method of pounding the legs with a dead blow hammer to bend them into shape. Also worth mentioning that these are a couple inches lower than the factory bracket. This doesn't seem like much, but especially on a 5-speed transmission all of the pedal locations will feel very strange until you get used to it.
Once I got the legs bent and hammered enough to actually bolt it down it isn't bad. Fits better than the driver's side. Would have preferred to use the stock brackets but the corbeau Bajas sit way too high.
86 CJ7: Driver's side matched up perfectly... Passenger side- NOT EVEN CLOSE!! Corbeau said they'll "work with me" if I provide them with pictures and measurements... we shall see
