Reviews for Rugged Ridge 11540.10 Winch Mount Modular XHD Front Bumper in Textured Black for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Great bumper, heavy, but check for brake vacuum pump, will not mount unless relocated. There are relocation brackets that can be bought. I used a Sri all to cut and grind flush the fog light guards so that I can access for cleaning.
I actually bought this in 2013. I have been very happy with it and have not had any problems. Installation was not to difficult. I was able to do it myself in about an hour. The only issue I had was getting the fog lights in. Very tight space. I would defiantly buy this again if I get a new jeep.
I should review this item, since I've bought it twice. Bought this about 8 years ago for my 2008 JK, and once that Jeep was stolen three years ago, here I am buying it again. Couldn't ask for a simpler, more pleasing design. It integrates your existing fog lights, and the stinger attachment is not complicated or silly looking like on many other bumpers. In my opinion, this is the least ridiculous, best-looking stubby bumper at a great price.
I installed this bumper on a 2014 JKU. The installation takes a lot of time and three people are required to install. You will need one person on each end to lift the bumper with a winch already mounted. The third person will have to hold the d-ring plates and install the bolts so it can be visually lined up. It is a very heavy bumper. The looks are fantastic but there is a huge design flaw that needs addressed. Once you have the winch mounted to this bumper, you cannot remove the grille. There is zero clearance between the grille and the winch. I used the quadratec brand stealth 9500is winch. I had to remove the bumper and slide it out about an inch in order to get the grille back on. My advice to rugged ridge would to provide about a 1" space plate to locate between the bumper mount face and the frame ends to compensate for this. This would be enough room to get the grille off and on with the winch in place. When I say zero clearance I mean the winch is right up on the grille.
