Reviews for Carnivore 3" Cube LED with Wiring Harness & Windshield Mounting Brackets for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Great package at this cost. Comes with everything, including way more cable length to the lights than needed for lower windshield mounting. Nice to have it if you decide to move lights later to the grill or back of the Jeep. Had no issue using the factory screws for the brackets, even comes with a 40T Torx wrench (if running light wires to the engine compartment by lifting up the center factory piece, between the two cowls, you'll need a 30T Torx bit which is not included). Lights are bright. Great package at this price.
E LED lights are finished very nicely. So is the bracket. Good light output. I have the wide angle version that I use as side rock lights. By that I mean illuminate the side of the trail at night. Fit and finish very good. No issues with water intrusion.
nice lights
I can't believe how well these work on our dark country roads - almost daylight. Not big and intrusive -easy install.
Great product, comparable LUMINS at half the price.
Lights work great. Install was easy and straight forward. My only compliant, and why I took one star off, is because the kit doesn't supply the torx head screws long enough to attach the bracket. I had some screws that worked from another accessory I decided to take off, but would have been nice to just have the parts. Like most others, I had to turn the light 180 in the brackets, but that is easy. Glad I read the other reviews.
This lighting kit worked great and was a fairly easy install. I agree with a lot of the other comments that the light bracket is on reversed leading to being unable to tilt the lights downward. Simply remove the hex screws and turn the bracket around 180 degrees, now the power cord is on the bottom and you can tilt it down. I took one star off though because the kit doesn't supply the torx head screws long enough to attach the bracket. I did not want to put on stainless hex bolts but wanted something close to the originals since the original bolts are not long enough. ALso, I wish they would have included covers in order to comply with local law. Otherwise, the lights are sufficiently bright and I am very pleased with the result.
I see reviews stating that the lights won't angle downward. That's because the manufacturer installed the bracket to the cube backwards. Remove the screws on the sides of the cube, rotate the bracket and reassemble. The lights will now aim downward.
The installation was overwhelming at first, but even an idiot like me was able to do it with the provided instructions. They are crazy bright, but I've only used them in the back yard -- no actual application yet. Giving 4 stars because you shouldn't have to mount them upside down in order to be able to point them in the direction you want. Right-side-up has the beams shining quite high into the neighbor's upstairs windows.
Brackets are solid and paint coating seems to be solid. Cube lights are extremely bright. Like other reviewers have stated, the lights will not angle down if mounted right side up (QT logo on the bottom). Mount them upside down and the get a greater range of adjustment. Gave three stars due the upside down mounting as well as the fact that these will not install with the factory windshield bolts (and QT does not include bolts, you must purchase).
