Direct replacement

I ordered this pump because the TJ specific washer pump was "out of stock"! This washer pump for the Jeep Cherokee worked in my 1999 TJ Wrangler! It comes with an additional pigtail harness that adapts THIS Cherokee pump to your factory TJ washer pump 2 pin male plugin. Facing the "new replacement pump" terminal (2 male blade connectors), I plugged the red "adapter harness wire" to the RIGHT blade connector and the black(ground) "adapter harness wire" to the LEFT blade connector. Pump worked great and with more pressure! Also to facilitate seating pump into reservoir's grommet, I used a little soap on the grommet and pump intake! Not hard to replace washer pumps at all! NOTE: Also if you guys pressure wash your TJ's engine, be sure to COVER or protect the WASHER PUMP MOTORS from getting WET while spraying your engine off! If they get wet, they may seize up!

Nice replacement for malfunctioning OEM pump. Be sure to purge air from line.
