Reviews for Steer Smarts YETI Series Extreme Duty Draglink Assembly for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Just installed on my 13 JKU. Awesome upgrade. Better than the stock one that I bent on the last off-road trip. I would recommend this to anyone. Thanks again Quadratec for shipping parts to the military serving overseas.
Bought this to replace bent stock drag link. This is a costly but tough drag link - easy to install. Will be going with the tie rod next to firm up steering even more. Decent instructions but they cover a bunch of different products so pay attention to which ones you are looking at. Great, easy adjustment -just use a 18mm and 15mm to turn the adjuster sleeves to center the wheel. Get a friend to help you center the wheel . Old drag link was really hard to get off - PA winters take their toll. Overall great product!
This Drag link is burly. It installs really easily and quickly. Your steering box will break before this bar bends
This Yeti Series Extreme Duty Draglink assembly, with the Top Mount with Stock Knuckles Non-Drilled, works very well without requiring any modifications to the stock setup. This new feature provides a very, robust connection to the stock knuckle, and leaves no room for play, like that seen in the typical bottom-mounted versions. This is a very beefy dragline for those Jeep enthusiasts that require a no-fail suspension part for heavy -duty applications.
What a difference this dragline makes!! Really firmed up the steering!!
Good reviews.
This item does not fit with stock wheels. At full left turn the larger joint on the passenger side damaged my wheel. I replaced both the drag link and tie rod and now I feel a lot of bump steer in the steering wheel due to having the "Death Wobble in the past. The steering is more responsive and feels tighter. This tells me the parts are very strong, however, I wonder what will be the next part in the steering system to fail. Quadratec should note the clearance issue with stock wheels.
Good product horrible fitment descripton. YOU NEED WHEEL SPACERS if running 17 inch rims. Steer smarts says 17 inch wheels or larger are required but no mention of spacers being needed. Spent over $1000 on drag link tie rod and steer smarts track bar and now my Jeep is sitting until I get wheel spacers. Make sure you have at least 1 1/2 inch spacers to run this setup.
