Reviews for Quadratec Gen II Stealth LED Interior Mount 50" Light Bar for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Works great for night time because it shines up more to give better vision to hill climbing and father out. Great addition to my Baja light and rock lights, looking forward to more adventures with it.
This was a very easy installation. And I cannot believe how bright these lights are. The switch that is installed directly on the light bar makes life so easy because there is minimal wiring to run. I have only had this light for a couple of days but have already fallen in love with it. The only thing I might warn people about is the fact that it does get somewhat hot after running it for a prolonged period of time and so it should not be touched while an operation.
Very impressed with this product and more so, the ease of installation. Absolutely love the fact that there is no cutting or making new holes. I was initially concerned with light bleed into the cabin, not anymore. Very minor and I can live with.
FYI, instructions state to be careful not to knock off end caps during installation. Mine did not have end caps and now that I see it lit up, there are no LEDs on the very ends. Regardless, I put some foam along the edge.
Beyond impressed with output. I was expecting an underwhelming light show. Add in the fact this is inside the cab and out of the way of limbs or tampering, it's a huge win.
THANKS, QUADRATEC AND STEALTH!
Absolutely worth it! This light bar truly embodies its name "Stealth". Such a great concept of mounting inside the windshield so you don't have to worry about any of the exterior elements.
I didn't have the 1st Gen light bar, so I can't give a direct comparison, however, this one seems very well-designed. It's very lightweight which is nice for install purposes, and slim - so you don't lose much of your windshield real estate. And when you turn the light on at night not only is it super bright, but I don't have any noticeable light leakage onto the windshield or the dash. Definitely a great addition for lighting up the top half of my field of vision at night.
Installation requires quite a few steps to get to your 12V power outlet, but by no means difficult. Only requires some tools and patience. I'd suggest both following the provided install instructions (pay attention to 08-12 JK vs 13-18) and also watch the video on Quadratec's YouTube (it's for the Gen 1 light bar but installs exactly the same). The install took my just over an hour and a half, so not bad at all.
Overall very impressed! It looks so good on the Jeep. Highly recommend.
I love the idea of this light bar. I love that there’s no whistling from exterior bars. I can use a cab cover not just a loose fitted cover or tarp. There’s no distraction from a Jeep looking like a Jeep or like you bought every accessory off of Quadratec. I love how clean this looks on the interior and from the exterior.
However… it’s not the brightest. It’ll certainly do the job and it is bright for what it is. But it’s nowhere as bright as say our KC lighted jeeps.
Fitment could be a bit better. There are gaps on either side that contribute to light bleed. I’ll probably modify this a bit and add a piece of weather stripping.
If you use a-pillar handles do be prepared to lose them. I relied heavily on those handles to get in my high lift/big tire Jeep, so I am sad to lose those.
I do wish it wasn’t just solid white or solid orange light - I wish it had chase light style strobe as well.
