Reviews for Carnivore Side Steps for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL
Love the look. Aggressive but sleek. Width is the main reason I got them. Decided I wanted a look different from tubes and wider. Installation was ok. Agree that getting the brackets through the mounting holes was a pain. They actually have to be angled and tilted slightly sideways to fit. I still managed to do it on my own. After you get each bracket through, screw on the two nuts just a tiny bit so they don't pop out when you do the others.
The style
I am going to 5 star this with just a couple minor things. First, I thought these steps would have the much cooler Carnivore logo on them, was disappointed to see them branded as Quadratec. Also, in terms of installation, very easy except that during the final step of attaching the side step to the supports, one of the screws on the bracket really needs to be half an inch shorter otherwise I honestly can't even see how the heck you would get it on. I cut mine with my hacksaw and it made the installation so much easier. After fiddling with it for 30 minutes, once I decided to cut the screw, I had it on within 10 minutes. Overall, these are sturdy and aesthetically pleasing for sure.

Looks and right width for my application
Side steps look great once installed. Left front mounting bracket was bent coming out of the box and no damage to the box. Was shipped that way. The 8mm lock washers were also missing. Their quality control is greatly lacking and would consider this before purchasing another product from them. Once I straightened the bracket and purchased the 4 missing lock washers the installation was not bad and the side steps looked great on my daughters jeep.
