Reviews for Quadratec 12510 5230 Baja HD Fender Flares for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL
Due to problems with my OEM fenders, I had to fix them urgently. Lucky I found this one on the website, The look is almost the same has the Oem. Install was basically only 30 minutes. The quality is the same has the OEM. I strongly recommend this product.
Look good
Affordable option to the Never in stock Mopar high clearance flares. Need a smooth plastic paintable option
Whoever manufactures these really needs to think out the directions and hardware used. Color would be great since all the parts are black and shadows don't show well on black and white printing. The hardware to hold the light assembly to the fender has metal grommets to screw into. The problem is that the grommets aren't attached well and just start spinning. They are unreachable while being installed due to their location. I will have to buy drywall push in screws to get them tight. I really was disappointed since what I have purchased in the past that had your name on it was of much better quality.
After 6hrs the fronts are on, the manufacturer didn't do the best or cleanest job trimming and cleaning up the edges once removed from the mold. I'm very meticulous so I took the time to make everything as perfect as it could be. The lights took the most time, and proved to be the biggest challenge of the job, trimming the lights for mounting and trimming the provided bracket so it fit just righ and lights aligned the best that they could. Modifying and fitting the lights wasn't as easy as rob makes it look in the video and I must say since I'm being honest they will fight you, but in the end they look great. Would I do it again?, no I would hold out for the mopar high top flares to be in stock so lights swap out in minutes and inner fender liners to protect everything that is now exposed. Tomorrow I'll do the rears and with no lights to mess with I'm estimating 30min and both rears done. Three stars because I had to clean up edges and trim pieces supplied by manufacturer where I could see mark's they made but failed to trim to those lines making things not fit right until cut back to the lines they had marked.
