Reviews for Armorlite Full Vehicle Flooring Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Molded fit and drains
The product is very nice and durable.
Excellent product, very durable, great heat reduction, takes a little time and finess to install but very pleased with the purchase.
Installed on my 2013 JK and love them.
Tough and easy to clean up after my dogs
I have no idea how folks installed this without removing the seats. I could've even remove the OEM carpet without pulling them. There were portions that were not cut. Like under the seat bolts.
The overall install is a pain. But the end result is worth it. The pieces are form fitting and fit well. The flooring is thick and seems very durable. I'm really liking it.
So why four stars? Price for starters. It's much too expensive. Add in the forthcoming rear sections and you're into the $1100 range. Compared to the Bedrug versions of this? Too much.
My other gripe is coverage. The two front pieces don't fully cover. They both have a large-ish section where the two ground points are on the transmission tunnel that are not covered at all. The seats cover it for the most part, but that's a big source of heat. I also forsee losing a ton of small items down there between the floor and flooring.
The last piece of missing coverage is between the rear seats and the cargo area. It's right where the load floor slopes down underneath the rear seats. From what I'm reading on Armorlite's website states you're supposed to leave the cargo floor carpet back there and place the mat on top; even though a CS rep said different. Kind of defeats the purpose of the flooring. I'm hoping it's a little easier to live with after the wheel tub pieces and seat backs show up.
Install is a pain in the &$@! The videos on YouTube showing installs are very misleading. Had to remove seats. Loosen center console and remove side covers to install. The front drivers flooring did not cover area around the seat bolts. Several areas of metal flooring not covered. Purchased the rear cargo mat which was a waste of money. The carpet cannot be removed from rear cargo area so you would expect the mat to fully cover this area. Not so. Carpet is left exposed on both sides. Defeats the purpose of the mat. I will keep my Weather Tech rear cargo mat instead. It is much much better. Hopefully the long term performance of the flooring will outweigh my disappointment.
So far I wouldn't recommend this product period, to get the proper fittament you have to remove the seats, the cargo area piece doesn't fit any of the contours of the jeep, and I'm pretty sure the passenger section piece is the completely wrong one because the drain holes are in the wrong place
