Reviews for Overland Outfitters Door Panel Pockets for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Fitment and overall look
Easy to install and a major improvement over the saggy nets Jeep so lovingly provided. Tip: once you remove the screws in the door panel, don’t be delicate, you have to pull the panel with some force to get the pins to pop. Once the panel is free it is a super easy install. I did not pre-drill the holes for the three screws needed, not really necessary. Will probably get the rear replacements as well.
These are great. Super well-constructed and look like it as well. One thing to note, I didn't add the top middle fastener. When test fitting it seems way to tight. What I am going to do instead is use small leather strips to fasten that part. That allows you to expand the pocket for better use, but still retain that added support if you intend to fill it up to that degree.
Easy to install & look great!
These door panel pockets are great. Really well constructed, really great looking, and a huge upgrade over the terrible netting pockets that are integrated into the stock door panels. Installation was relatively easy, having panel tools made it easier to disconnect the clips to slide the pockets under the door panel.
Great product, glad I got them. Instructions say to drill a 1/8 hole in panel once they are set in place for the 3-support screws. I would NOT drill this hole. The screws can self tap into the plastic door panel for a snugger fit where they wont get stripped out.
Great functionality!

We purchased a set of the front JL Door Storage Pockets from the Overland Outfitters website as a more robust solution to door storage for our 2019 JL. The factory netting just doesn't work. Fortunately Overland Outfitters recognized the inadequacy of the factory netting and designed a set of fully functional canvas and leather storage pockets that are consistent with the rest of their high quality, durable product line.
Installation was simple; all that was required was a drill motor, a phillips screw bit, a T20 Torx bit, and a T30 Torx bit. Two T20 screws are removed from the bottom of the door trim panel, and two T30 screws are removed from the armrest. The door trim is pulled away from the door using a cloth-protected screwdriver or trim fastener tool, and the OO Door Panel Pocket is pulled up over the bottom of the door trim, taking care to align the steel push pins in the door side of the trim panel with slots in the inner flap of the OO Door Panel Pocket. Align the push pins with their retainers in the door, and push the door panel back in place. Reinstall the factory Torx fasteners. Then take the drill with the phillips bit, line up the three OO Door Panel Pocket grommets and install the provided black phillips screws using the drill. These screws keep the OO Door Panel Pocket from sagging under load, and screw into the plastic door panel.
The OO Door Panel Pockets do not get in the way when filled with "car stuff", and the flapped leather pocket at the front does not interfere with one's leg. The OO Door Panel Pockets are totally unobtrusive, yet fully functional. The outermost "pocket" is all canvas and is closed at the bottom. The innermost "pocket" contains the factory mesh, and there are two small openings at the bottom for access to the two factory T20 fasteners. So small items can go into the outermost pocket, and larger items can be stored in the innermost pocket, which is divided into two compartments, separated by the factory mesh.
The OO Door Panel Pockets fully compliment the two OO JL Saddlebags for each side of the rear seat we purchased last year for the same 2dr JL, and the OO Cooler that fastens to a heavy canvas strip retained by the front seat headrest armature legs, and hangs against the rear of the front seat.
The Overland Outfitters quality materials and ingenious design make for an extremely high-value, effective storage solution for JL Wrangler front doors.
These were easy to install and add to the nets that were already there. They are sturdy and look great.
