Reviews for Rough Country Differential Skid Plate for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & 20-23 Gladiator JT

This took a little “ship-fitting” to get on, but once installed, very nice/functional. Was able to install front and back covers without lifting vehicle; used floor jack as an extra arm. Total install time was about 2 hours for both axles.

Review for Front M186 and Rear M220

Front skid plate wont' fit 2021 JL, as diff has a small plate behind. You need to cut it or strip off about 1" from one side.
Quality is descent, not as good as rear one and welding lines are bit rough.

Rear fits perfectly, no issues. Better quality, and texturized paint.

The front plate, M210 went on very easy and quick, but I agree with Harry F. for the back plate, Model M220 will not fit the 2020 Gladiator Rubicon model unless you remove the rear track bar. Quadratec needs to stop telling people that this fits, now I have to go thru the hassle to return it.

Don’t fit 2023 Jt rubicon . It hits the track bar .i cut about 1.25”-1.50” off the top in front of the diff cover.

Meh...I really wanted this review to be better. Really did. Easy to install in about 20 minutes without having to lift the Jeep. Was heavy, thick gauge, and looked like it could take a hit. Honestly was pretty excited about it. Problem is that it kept banging into my Quadratec Engine and Transmission Skid Plate. There is minimal clearance between the two aftermarket parts. Was hoping it was not going to be an issue. Whelp...I was wrong. Going offroad I kept hearing BANG. Thinking to myself, "Hey thats a new noise." Tried to ignore it for a while. You know, turn up the radio louder to fix the problem and all that. Finally crawled under the Jeep and saw that this was connecting with the Skid Plate everytime the axle flexed from parallel. It actually broke the mount on the aluminum skid it was hitting so hard. Had to do some trail side mechanical work. No way to grind it down to make it work either. So now I am out $100. Ugh. Lesson learned. Without the Quadratec Skid, no problems. With the skid, it won't work. 2021 Gladiator Rubicon with 2.5" lift.

Does not fit gladiator rubicon like it says. Interferes with the rear sway bar

Rear skid plate will not fit 2020 JT Sport unless move rear track bar.
