Reviews for MasterTop Bimini Plus Summer Top & Windstopper Combo For Jeep Gladiator JT
I have mixed feelings about this product. Maybe because there isn't anything else out there yet. The cons with this product is there are lots of straps hanging down after it is all tighten down, the windstopper section in the back looks saggy when on and the back headrest push it too far out that the velcro comes undone, it takes probably 20 minutes to get everything on and can be a pain
Not a great solution, I basically only went with it because there aren't really any other options out there for bimini tops on the Gladiators right now. Like everyone else mentioned, the straps hang down obnoxiously in your face and don't always stay tucked away at highway speeds.
Absolutely nuts that they don't have a solid header channel that can firmly attach to the front (the straps around the windshield gap are a total junk solution, Bestop had this stuff figured out a decade ago!). Even after hours of adjustment (and in 88 degree weather which should have made this easier), the windjammer attachment to the top is wonky and ill-fitting, you can't really have the rear headrests up or the windjammer feels like it will rip right off, because it presses hard against them. Velcro comes undone on the windjammer's right side/corner due to poor fit; they need a zipper to attach it to the top instead.
Annoying flapping noise at 40+ mph, but I suppose that can't really be helped. They offer sticky rubber pads to place in likely locations where the top flaps against the rollbars, but these didn't really make much difference in the noise to me.
All in all, not a great product, but it's basically the only one other than the Mopar version which other forums had rated as even worse (!!!) so I probably won't stick with this if another better brand comes along.
I’m not really happy with it. The front straps that you slide around the front roll bar do not pull tight enough. Water will definitely come down the front. Straps everywhere and it flaps like a kite. It’s good thick material but that’s it. Wish it had a bar and clamped to the OEM front ports like to stock hardtop. Debating if they’ll take it back.
