I also had a problem with the left latch but it just needed a slight adjustment and tightening. That being said it also rattled like crazy and was very noisy until I bought a small alligator clamp at a home improvement store. No issues. Super heavy duty and was easy to install.

I was worried about latches, but haven't had any issues. This table is definitely over built and sturdy. After I installed we took a 4day trip through 3 of the Lincoln National Forest districts. No problems at all. latches never came undone. We traveled rough trails not gravel roads.

As with all of fishbone's stuff, great solid build. Easy install
