Reviews for Coverking SPC683 Topliner Hardtop Insulation Kit For Jeep Gladiator JT
Install was ok, could have been better than just a single sheet instruction to a YouTube video. Very pleased with the final product. Would buy again or recommend to others.
Looks and performance
I love the coverking headliner! It was a fairly easy install that took an afternoon. It looks absolutely amazing. So much better than the white interior that came stock as you can see from the pictures. Gives it a great finished look and helps insulate from the Florida sun. It also helps with noise. I did use some flat black paint on the few small areas of white that showed after installation.I also used some super glue sparingly on some edges for a cleaner look.. I Highly recommend this product.
This is a great product.
Having said that, it looks really nice! It's very professional looking. It's fairly easy to install. It's molded to fit perfectly. Mind didn't come with any instructions or any diagrams as to where to put the adhesive strips. But, in watching the video they have online, i was able to figure it out. It's the nicest looking headliner I've seen in a Jeep. It covers all the white.
As far as sound, I installed 80mil Kilmat before putting on the headliner. So I'm not sure how much improvement the headliner alone with have against road noise. But there is a significant difference between what it was between then and now by installing the Kilmat along with it. I recommend you do the same. It's easy and worth it while you have the roof off.
This is a great kit. My wife and I installed this in her JT in a couple of hours while taking our time. One downside is the instructions were for a JK, but the glue strip placement was easy to figure out. Once everything was installed, it really changed the look on the inside for the better. I didn't have a way to check noise reduction, but it seemed to really help as far as noise echoing off the roof. We went to town recently, and the truck sat outside for a few hours in the hot sun. There was a huge difference before and after in the amount of heat radiating through the roof to the interior. I would definitely do this again. I'm going to try making my own for my TJ, because I have not found a kit for it.
The full coverage of this liner appeals to me more than the others.
