Reviews for Coverking SPC680 Topliner Hardtop Insulation Kit for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited
Full coverage of the top. Looks like how it should have come from the factory
Quality
This is an excellent product that truly enhances the interior of the JL. Took about 6 hours but we’ll worth it.
The printed instructions are baffling. Printed on two sides, written instructions first, then photos afterwards, so you’re constantly getting referred to ‘Figure K’ or something on another page, you’ll spend far too much time flipping back and forth on a single step. There are some decent install videos on YouTube that are far more useful. The adhesive stickers are also not labeled which is frustrating — you’ll spend a lot of time comparing and organizing piles for the similar sized ones. That’s pretty much it on the negatives.
To ease yourself into it, would recommend spending one day doing just the freedom tops to get the hang of the adhesive, and another day on the main top.
The insulation material is good quality but can be abrasive to the hands/arms; would recommend using a towel or gloves when you need to press down & rub to secure the adhesive to the liner.
The window cutouts are the hardest part; you’ll want to spend extra time making sure the liner doesn’t overlap the window frame.
Overall I’m pleased with the result. The road noise is reduced (I can hear my stock stereo much better) and the Texas heat is less awful.
