Reviews for Quadratec Pre-Runner LED Light Kit for 20-25 Jeep Gladiator JT
Easy to fit
Great fit
Clean fit no need to slice wire
Better than other pre runner light because of the plug and play harness
Good project which took about an hour to do. I did lower the drivers side inner fender to allow better visibility and release of the factory plug and proper engagement of the pre runner light harness plug. Some of these factory plugs can be tricky to separate and engage if you can't see them clearly. Quality, fit and finish of the lights in the grill looks like a factory option. Excellent product highly recommended for a nice visible upgrade.
Works awesome!
Looks great! Seems well made, time will tell. Installation was pretty much spot on as per the instructions with the possible exception of getting to the connector. I don’t know if every model is the same, but on my Overland, it is directly across from what I think is the ABS controller, tucked up just inside the wheel well. They have it secured to the body using a slide lock. Problem is it is very tight, with electrics, washer plumbing, the inner fender, and the shape of the sheet metal at that point. No way could I get my hand in there to release it and pull it through into the engine compartment to separate it and then attach the Quadratec connectors for the lights. At least, I couldn’t do it so I had to drop the inner fender, not hard, just takes more time, and I had never done it before so I did not know what to expect. Plus, I had to go to HF to pick up a Poly Rivet tool to reattach the inner fender back to the fender flares, plus a few of the nylon push in retainers from Advance Auto. The supplied rivets that came with the riveter worked OK, not quite as pretty as the OEM but no one will notice but me. All in all, for any one who is familiar with the inside of the wheel well, this job would take an hour, if that. Good luck! Hope this helps.
Waited a long time for this to finally arrive. I weighed between other options but this was worth the wait. It can be achieved without partially removing the fender well for the plug. Going through the engine bay will take a little time and patience but all and all was 30 minutes for the install. Thanks quadratec
Be warned - the wiring harness can feel like it’s impossible to disconnect. I looked up videos, pictures, everything and it ended up finally giving way after many tries. It helped make it more possible once I removed the harness from the jeep body so that it could hang free. From there the install was a breeze
The look and the plug and play aspect of this kit sold me. I prefer not modifying anything unless absolutely necessary. Install took about an hour working leisurely.
The good: looks great; mostly an easy install; no permanent modifications required.
The not so good: the instructions are OK but finding the harness connection can be a challenge; the grill inserts are not very good - all 3 partially cracked when I squeezed them per instructions - they are also tedious to get pressed into place (note to Q: have them made out of a stiff rubber and eliminate the separate grommets for the LEDs).
They look great and do operate when the running lights are on, not just the headlights. I'd buy again and would recommend them to friends. Quadratech should really do a video of a Gladiator install - that would help.
very straight forward install.. love the T harness that make these lights plug and play.. I ended up making a quick disconnect harness behind the grill so that if I ever remove the grill for any reason I won’t have to fish all the lights through the grill again, simply unplug it and remove the grill.. also I may suggest Quadratec to offer a smoked and a clear version or these LED for more custom look..
Dissapointed that these quadratec gladiator grill lights only come on with my headlights. I thought they would be running lights and light up in the daytime like all the other grill lights that I see. I installed as per instructions, but will now take to my local accessory install guy and have him wire differently so they will come on when my engine is running …
Find this plug was a major challenge for me. Gladiator Sport has it tucked up under the frame in the engine and out of sight. Once I found it, the plug and play aspect part was quick and easy. The actual clip install for the grill however. Be careful how hard you pinch the insert pieces to get them into the grill. I snapped two of my 3 getting them into the grill. Luckily, they only broke halfway through were still able to hold themselves in the grill. I'd up the quality of the plastic inserts for me to give this a 5 star, since I split two of three they give you.
