How come it works for a 2022 Wrangler JLU 4XE but not a regular 2022 Wrangler JLU?
Only the 4xe shares the JT Grille attributes. The 18-23 JL applications that are not 4xe equipped will use the following version Quadratec part number 97109-1143 Pre-Runner LED kit 18-23 JL . Thanks for your inquiry.

The light mounts simply snap into place on your factory grille and do Not require any cutting.
