Reviews for Mopar 5th Bow Folding Arm for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited
The easiest way to get the old piece off is cut it off. Putting the new arm on is easy.
Much cheaper than dealer!

I thank the gods Quadratec sells this part. If you're reading this, you probably pulled into a garage too short to accommodate your jeep. At least that's what' happened to me. I thought it was going to be an expensive trip to the dealer to get my soft top fixed, but was happy to find these. Removing the damaged parts from the vehicle was not fun and took quite some time, but once they were off, these new ones went on just fine and the soft top is in perfect working order. I wish I could give some advice on how to get the old part off, but as far as I can tell, it's just working at it until it pops off, which is difficult when you're trying not to damage the other bars connected to it.
So excited installing my new soft top that I didn't read how to properly lower the top once installed. I therefore bent this bow arm. It took me and a friend wrestling around trying to get the original one off. At your own risk ( I am no mechanic) you have to pop it out so a prying tool and a hammer hitting the prying tool at the right angle several times worked (and I mean for a half hour, and at the end you just gotta go for it and smack the heck out of it). May wanna see if anyone found an easier way on one of the JL Forums as it was pretty nerve racking. All and all once I got it off and thought through how to make sure I installed the new arm correctly the rest was simple.
