Reviews for Quadratec Grab Handles for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Functionally the handles are fine. Unfortunately, the handles are a little long and bounce off of the windows when the doors are on the Jeep. Very noisy and annoying. I am going to try and get the Mopar handles.
I have mixed feelings about this product.
The hang way too low, and bang into the windows obnoxiously during every day driving and obstruct view.
That being said, I decided to run with them because hanging low like that is going to be better in extreme off-road situations because the most important thing about these handles is that my passengers actually use them. The reason I bought handles in the first place is that no matter how many times I tell passengers off-road, “do not put your hand on the roll bar, think about what it’s for” everyone hangs onto the roll bar the whole time. I have been in a rollover in a Jeep in the past when the passenger was holding onto the roll bar and she did get hurt. Being lower hanging means people will use them more as they will be more comfortable to hang onto for long periods of time, and at the end of the day that’s the most important.
I will probably be removing the one by the driver seat as my hands are always on the steering wheel, and it hangs right in my field of view.
That and my wife likes how they hang so low, and she usually gets what she wants.
Front handles do not fit with the bestop sunrider top. Kept the back two and gave the front ones away as a gift.
Not a fan. I bought these as an upgrade to the Amazon handles I had. The design and overall quality is there, but the straps are too flimsy. These things flop all over, hitting the windows at the slightest turn or bump. They also hang too low. Like I said...not a fan...
Just received these and installed them. Fitment is good. The quality of the product is good. The big issue we have is where they actually hang. It seems to me like these should hang down on the inside of the roll bar, so that when these swing, they would not hit the glass. If you take a sharp left or a sharp right, the handles smack into the windows if the windows are up and that is really annoying. We will be returning these.
I didn't feel like this fit that well. The handle always looks twisted, and the connectors wont sit flush. Poor quality item.
Dumb things hit me in the head all the time.
I bought these because I figured the metal brackets would be better than the Mopar one's plastic ones. I now realize why Mopar used plastic.
I just uninstalled mine to try something else and discovered that the thin rubberized coating over the metal tabs easily strips away, even the passenger side which never saw any use had quite a bit of bare sharp metal exposed. This, as you could expect, cut into the plastic roll cage covers. There's noticeable damage to the driver side (which saw use, obviously) around the torx bolts.
TL;DR: Clamp coating comes off the moment you install them and the exposed bare metal damages the area around it.
Can’t use these and request a return, purchased a Fish Bone flashlight holder and it requires mounting on the same screws on the driver side.
Also, This is day two of trying to get ahold of your customer service and no one is available and I can’t remain any longer on hold.
