Reviews for DV8 Offroad D-JL-190052-PIL Picatinny Rail A Pillar Light Mount Pair for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT
Product looks great once installed. Getting it there was difficult for me. Just like every other review, the passenger side sits weird. You can't use any of the factory bolts because they are too short. No long bolt is provided for the top part of the cowl. No instructions are included but really aren't needed.
I love the Picatinny look! The challenge we found when doing the install was that we needed longer bolts. We cheated and swapped 2 bolts from the doors and that worked great. I like that I can add the mirrors and other accessories. Aside from the bolts not being quite long enough, there is a small round piece where the bolt goes that the weld came apart. I contacted Quadratec and they immediately sent a replacement. Overall I am happy with the outcome. I would recommend this product. No regrets!
Excellent build quality. Paired these with two pods and a 50” light bar. The only gripe as mentioned in another review is the fitment of the passenger side mount. Requires quite a bit of finessing to get it just right and tightening too much causes the top of the mount to push away from the body; not resting as the driver’s side does.
If you are mounting a light bar to these shouldn’t be much of a problem as tightening the light bar will bring mounts together at the top. Otherwise great product and looks top notch!
I really like the 'picatinny' military look and feel with these light rails. They also are heavy duty, I weighed them in at 9 pounds each (without light bar) for those of you that are keeping payload weight being added to your vehicle. I like the padding that is applicable to the underside of the rails to protect the Jeep's paint. They even include four (two for each side) longer M bolts because of the added thickness of both the rails and padding, which is great. However, they should of included the M6x1.00x50mm torx bolts (2) for the top side mount for the same reasons. I've submitted two photos and you can clearly see the stainless steel bolts which don't match the oxide black bolts from the Jeep factory or DV8's rail.
