Worked like a charm. I think some of the complaints about breaking stem from a misunderstanding of how the part installs. It is necessary for the lower portion to "break" so it can drive upwards and act as a wedge which spreads the upper clips to secure it in the hole. Be sure you've got the correct hole, gently insert the upper clips, then push the lower portion up--it will "break" and thrust the lower body/stem between the upper clips, forcing them to spread and be wedged open far enough that the part can't just slip back out.

If you accidentally break it into two pieces before inserting, you can still use the part, but you'll have to use two hands to hold the upper clip in place while inserting and driving up the lower piece.

Sorry my explanation isn't the greatest, if I had a spare to burn making a video I would, but I don't.

Concur with Matthew H. Fit is loose and it broke almost immediately, i.e. put it in the hole, lifted up hood prop to put in clip, and clip broke. $15.99 for this? Ridiculous.
