Great looking, functional, and easy to install

I had the original hinges installed on an 08 JK and the pins were worn. Read the reviews and order the MORyde replacement. Install was easy with very clear instructions. Door glides open and closed now. Better than when new.

This was a fairly easy install. Remove the spare tire to get the weight off the tailgate, and change the hinges one at a time. I also purchased the correct Duplicolor paint to paint under the old hinges where they are not painted. I believe Black High Quality Tape such as Gorilla Brand would have worked fine. I liked the painted look better. Much better quality than the factory hinges.

Have difficulty getting grease into one of the hinges so it squeaks. You have to constantly grease that one or the door is really hard to open. Handles my 35" tires without any issues

Very heavy duty, really nicely made and seem very sturdy. Only reason 4 stars is I also bought the tailgate reinforcement bracket, and had issues with quality control, see my review on that page for full details. Quadratec is amazing as always even shipped these to me, after MORryde sent these parts to them instead of me, P.O. Box could be the reason for not sending directly to me. This brand could be really amazing if their quality control was better.
