Does this except both 3/4 and 1" shackles?
It accepts 3/4" & 7/8" shackles.
Is the bumper made of steel? How thick?
2.5mm or 12g steel.
How is the steel treated? Is it powdercoated? Textured? Is it also e-coated?
it is powder-coated.
I don't plan on putting a winch on. Is there a cover in front and on top that comes with this?
There is not a cover plate available for the winch mount at this time.
What is the weight? Thanks
The bumper and components weigh approximately 55 lbs.
Is there a winch delete plate for this bumper?
No unfortunately. This bumper was built with winches and recovery in mind.
the part breakdown looks like the side pieces do not come off, when i called into quadratec the guy told me that they did a demo and he "thought" that they showed that they do come off, is it possible for someone to call rugged r. and ask them if there design was updated and the side pieces do in fact come off, would be great to know before i purchase, thanks
Installation instructions are now available. You can see the end caps are modular and can be left off during installation.
Please may I know if it is compatible with factory front park distance control I have on my jl Rubicon? Thanks and best regards
Per Rugged Ridge if there are sensors in the bumper then no it does not have provisions for them, if it is worked into the adaptive cruise unit on the windshield or front facing camera then there would be no issue.
Does it come pre-assembled?
This does not come pre-assembled.
I have a 2019 2 door Rubicon with the LED light package. Will the LED fog lights fit in this bumper?
LED fogs lights come out of a plastic bumper will bolt into this bumper, LED fog lights coming out of the factory steel bumper will require trimming to the bracket to fit.
