The Rubicon rock rails are not required for our QRC Rock Slider to fit your Jeep. A gap will be present when they are not used though. Thanks for your inquiry.

No, they will not.
Do these bolt on under the factory Rubi rails, on my 2017 JK Rubicon?
These rock sliders install directly to the frame at the body mounts and they fit below the factory Rubicon rock rails.
I assume if these could be bolted to a Gladiator, they would not run to the wheel well fender like with a 4-door unlimited; will they bolt on to a Gladiator, or would mounting holes needed to be drilled? Is there a distinctly separate version for a Gladiator?
These are made specifically for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon JK 4-Door.
Can you use these as a step?
They can support the weight of being stepped on but do not have a traction pad so are not recommended to be used as a step for safety reasons.
