Reviews for Fab Fours Front Stubby Bumper for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Super solid and a good deal for the price. No problems installing it, took longer to pull the stock bumper off than installing the new one.
Love the fit, love the look. Needed to add an extra washer to each bolt to space the bumper out. Powder coat finish looks great. Welds are good looking.
Absolutely love the way it looks and very easy to install
This is a really nice tight fit bumper. Install fit was really good. Instructions were a bit generic for all models but easy enough to figure out. I might need to find a way to skid plate the sway bar disconnect ( Rubicon model) that seems to hang lower than it should. Cutting down the stock metal cross link for the plastic lower diffuser could probably work. Overall looks very good and I am blown away by the heft and low price. Was a bit concerned. I drilled a small hole for the spot light wires that I mounted. I can tell you the steel is good and hard.
I really like this bumper better than the one I had on before it bolted through the face side and hated seeing the bolts. The fab fours bumper bolts are on the backside.
Great looking bumper, extremely nice finish and welds. Super easy install by myself in less than 45 minutes. Only complaint that echoes others is my halogen stock fogs do not fit at all which for me is fine since I replaced them with rigid 3x3s but still the manual says they would fit so that's a bit lame.
Haven't received it yet to leave a review. But looks sweet.
I bought this bumper for my 21 gladiator sport. Installation was easy and straight forward. the bumper looks great. The one negative I have is that the factory fog lights do NOT fit like it says they should. I will have to get different lights, or make my own bracket. It took me, by myself about 4 hours to remove factory bumper and install this bumper and a winch.
Fog lights do not fit without modification, I had the plastic bumper with halogen fog lights, so they are supposed to fit. Rest of the bumper works well. Note that I have the quadratic aluminum skid plate, it works.... if you put the bracket as far down as possible and flex the metal a bit by tightening the bolts.
My only gripe with this bumper (to echo every other review) is the fog light fitment. I still have the stock halogens currently and ended up shaving down an edge of the fog lights' plastic brackets about an eighth of an inch to get them mounted in the bumper. It's more than just a "round peg, square hole" type situation.
Other than that, the bumper came with decent instructions and bolted right on without problems. Two sets of hands would definitely make things a lot easier, but I was able to install it solo in an afternoon. Still think it looks great despite the fog lights.
Worth noting that I ordered mine through FabFours directly and I'd recommend that path for anyone looking to buy. As long as you're willing to pick it up, you can dodge the shipping cost by having them send it to a verified dealer. Mine also came very well wrapped/boxed and in great condition.
