Well built and does exactly what I need. Enough space under the plate to hold my ARB fridge on a slider.
To answer the question about soft top, I have a slant back Trek top from Bestop. It does fit but it does make contact with the back window. The corners do push out against the top and dimple the vinyl window.

on of the best things I've bought for my Jeep, wish I got it on day one. Stays low out of the review mirror line of sight. Helps a ton with organizing some of the smaller tools on top of this rack and bigger items like a tool box or cooler below.

I am very happy with this shelf and would definitely buy it again. It works well with my JKU soft top; however, part of the top does rest on the shelf when the top is down. I put some padding there for protection when the top is down.
