Simple to install. Seems to work as it should. I could see why others say these break over and over as the design seems flawed. I will be careful to avoid over-extending the check to ensure no repeat purchase is needed.

Very easy to install, it only took a few minutes. Just make sure that you grease the strap and slowly close and open the door several times to make sure it's properly lubricated.

Bought one a few months ago and opened tailgate and it pulled a part.the white plastic inset is not strong enough for regular use and cracks allowing for the arm on tailgate to pull out of bracket on body

Would not allow door to close on installation.
