What goes between the bottom of the rear window and the top of the tail gate. I have an inch gap where the bottom of the window curves up.

No, it does not. Sorry. Bestop Replace a top with either clear rear windows part number 11032-17 and with tinted rear windows part number 11039-17 are still offered in spice color if you have the factory style with half steel door soft top hardware that uses snaps studs x5 on each side and spreader bars with square back upper door frames. These kits are not for use with Supertop commonly used on full steel door equipped YJ's. YJ Replace a top in Spice with clear rear windows Replace a top for YJ in Spice with Tinted rear windows. Dumb question but have to ask anyway. Does this fit an 87 (YES I KNOW IT SAYS 88) YJ with best top hardware?
No. Bestop hardware is most often the framework for the Supertop which is designed for full steel door and rounded contour soft upper door equipped. This fabric kit will only fit the factory style that the middle bow and back bow are separated by spreader bars. The Supertop will have a bow that is a Y shape and must use the fabric kit for Bestop Supertop. A 1987 could use the top if they add a door rail kit and have the factory style with half steel door bow assembly. Thanks for your inquiry.
Do they have this one for full metal doors or which one does
This does not properly fit the full door rounded door frame a YJ has. A Bestop Supertop part number 11002-xx or 11002-6XX are still the top that will be the best quality and fit for YJ Jeeps with full steel doors.Bestop Supertop Classic for YJ with Full Steel Doors. Thanks for your inquiry.

No, it will not. Only the Supertop skin will fit Bestop Supertop frames, and if you had the Supertop Sunrider for Yj they did not offer fabric replacements for it. Does this top come with all the hardware including the upper window door frames
When the complete top option on the product page is selected, you will receive the hardware and the upper door frames. If replacement only is selected, it will need to be used with factory style hardware with factory half steel doors. The replacement kit will not fit a Supertop style frame for Jeeps equipped with a full steel door. Thanks for your inquiry.
Quadratec Part #: 11000.7126 Top for 89 - Wrangler. I have original hardware in very good condion and am wanting to know how the attachments are for the door areas. Does this have the button snaps for above the door frame or is it like a velcro strip? Thanks
This would have the snaps above the door, but hook and loop around the door surrounds
