1986 CJ7 Laredo. Removed the hardtop and doors in 2000. Now desire to install soft doors and top. What doors are compatible and fit with a Bestop Supertop?
The doors that are compatible are in the following link. 2 piece Supertop Door set . Purchasing the supertop model that includes that 2 piece supertop door set along with it would allow the best of both worlds. A soft door that also can be a recreational safari soft door with the upper door windows removed. The top will also fit with full steel doors. Just keep in mind that the upper door from the 2 piece soft door set, does not also work in a set of YJ half steel doors that sometimes CJ owners get second hand. Will this top work if I have one piece soft doors? They came with original top from manufacturer AMC
The factory 1 piece door is a little different shape than the 2-piece door. The door will go on, and we have seen people use it but it isn’t a good seal, the one piece door doesn’t have the weather stripping that the 2 piece door has. For function, it can be done; if someone is trying to get the same fitment. Not going to happen nearly as nicely. Thanks for your inquiry.

I have an '84 CJ7 and it looks like with the new way this hardware is setup that after installation I would be able to remove the rear side windows and roll up the back window and drive with it like that....essentially the top and rear corners are secured in place, but it is basically wide open. Is that correct or do the rear side windows and the back window have to stay in place during operation?
Side windows can be removed. So can the rear window. The rear window can be left zipped up top to roll up. The rear window needs to be removed when folding the top back. Thanks for your inquiry.
