Reviews for DV8 Offroad FBJL-10 Front Modular Bumper with Bull Bar for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited & Gladiator JT
Great product. Absolutely no instructions provided. Would have gave it 5 stars if it wasn't for me searching youtube, reading reviews, basic assembly knowledge...
Only problem with this bumper is the instruction, but if you have any sense of how things are assembled, you should be able to figure it out easily. Have had this installed for 6months and have not noticed any problems even with it being taken offroad. It's a great, solid bumper.
Agree with previous review directions are terrible and some parts are very hard to line up and install. However, love the look and it seems like a very nice product would recommend just take your time putting it together and even a dry fit of all parts.
Like the other mentioned the instructions are the absolute worse part. The instructions could have been replaced with "Install bumper on Jeep" and would have been just as useful. also they should also include D ring shackles since installing it with the factory tow hooks was absolutely once of the worst parts of the install.
Seems sturdy and now that it is installed I have very few concerns.
‘21 Gladiator. Instructions are garbage at best. DOES NOT WORK WITH BADLANDS WINCH. At least without modifications…. Called sup and was told they know it’s a thing but haven’t fixed it yet. Awesome but I could spend another $600 for the Warn winch that fits perfectly. Otherwise pretty well built and looks good on the Jeep.
Product arrived very well packaged, every item was individually wrapped+++
Quality of materials and construction is very good-well done.
Design of the bumper is very good, however the engineering is weak. Many of the parts have to be force fit, which makes taking back apart after a dry fit challenging.
The instructions are absolutely useless, do not provide any detail at all. For instance it says if using the factory tow hooks, face studs away from the Jeep. Tet neglect to mention that the existing studs must be pressed out-big detail which if included could save customers much time later. There is no mention at all of removing the grille when installing the winch plate, you take a chance on scratching the paint if not removed. There are two small side brackets on the inside of the frame rail, no mention whether they should stay in place or go-if kept it will be very difficult to the the plate in between the rails with force. Overall the directions are poor, lacking detail and do not cover installation of the entire package. Allow one day for complete, correct installation.
This is being installed on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
I absolutely hate this thing. Looks great in pictures, like a knock off Mopar steel bumper. Nope, crap Chinese stuff with edges that run over. The instructions were written in a hurry by a guy who gets paid per manual. Says “install with suppled hardware” doesn’t specify what hardware. Skips steps and makes you install and take apart in trial and error. The winch plate was slightly too wide so it had to be pressed in with a floor jack after modifying it with a cut off wheel. Buy something else, I’m actually going to look at buying something else because I hate it so much.
From the moment receiving the bumper without any installation instructions or directions to having to drill out holes to make things match up to having to grind to spots on my skid plate so that it didn't hit the new bumper and holes lined up, this has been nothing to brag about. The construction of the bumper seems good although I will be touching up a couple spots where parts rubbed together in shipment. It is obvious that DV8 didn't plan for the launch of this product at all. There are other bumper systems out there that I have to believe are much better supported and documented.
