Just installed today. Seems like good quality product. Based on instruction pictures it seemed about an inch too short. I called the customer service line and they requested pictures to check- I haven't heard back yet. If you have a sprayed bedliner you will need to tap some of the bed screws to clean out; not a big deal. Also note they put plastic covers on some of the screws- took a few minutes to figure that one out since the color was the same- that's great and shows they wanted to protect from scratching, but would be helpful to add that to the instructions.
The product arrived in great shape no damage to the shipping box. I opened the box for inspection and found the right mounting rail bent and deformed. It appears to have been damaged during manufacturing. No quality control and it was boxed and shipped. I contacted rugged ridge for a new right mounting rail. They said since It was purchased from quadratec it’s their problem. I contacted quadratec and they sent me an entire new tonneau cover. Thanks quadratec. Great customer service no questions asked.
Works and looks great! The bolts on the side were slightly difficult. Found it easier to screw them in first before installation to clear the paint from the inside of the nut. For me the two screws at the end of the bed had no nuts behind them to screw into. I had to go to the hardware store and buy nuts to fit. Getting them on with less then a inch of clearance was a exercise in patients. I did get them in and tight after a lot of dropping things down between the bed and the cab. Once all was done it looks great and is nice and secure!
This fits great and I have yet to see any water leaks. I only had one issue with install and that was the hardware. The bolts did not want to screw in or even start on the factor holes, so I eventually just used different bolts to get the cover secured to the bed.
So far I’m very pleased with this cover. It is expensive so I expect a lot from it. It came packaged very securely even though in transit a corner was punctured from UPS handling. All the rails and covers were in great shape. I have a factory installed bed liner so you have to clear the bolt holes of the liner material for all the bolts to be inserted. Have someone help you hold down the bed rails while bolting them to the bed. After installation the bed rails tightly seal to the bed which is good. The rails also have drainage tubes which can connect to drain holes if you drill those into the floor of your bed.
The cover is very solid and the Line X covering looks great and seems adequate. The trifold pieces latch securely and you can lock the tailgate making it harder to break into the covered bed. I haven’t carried items in a hard rain but I hope the covers offers good protection in a rain storm.
The bed cover is well made and fits like it is original equipment. The installation instructions are well written and easy to understand. It gets a three star rating because they claims that it can be used in conjunction with the Jeep Trail Rail system. This is only partially true.
The rails for the bed cover extend over the cleats on the TrailRail system so that any upward angle of a tie down line will press against and possibly bent or displace the bed cover rail. The clamps holding the cover in place partially block the opening where cleats are put on and removed from the TrailRail system. The TrailRail cleats are still usable but it is significantly more cumbersome and requires more consideration.
I would buy this product again. I do recommend this product.
Looks good but it leaks really bad. I have put several other brands on and this is buy far the worst for keeping water out. For the cost, I would look at something else.
90 Days in and one side rail already broke. It appears that only the front and back tiny screws were installed from the factory. The rear screw sheared off from its self weight. Will redrill and install heavier screws to fix a bad design. Very disappointed with this high end cover. I would opt for a different one as I was not wow’d from the beginning.
