Reviews for Rough Country Dual Outlet Performance Axle Back for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
It has a great exterior sound without an annoying drone in the cabin. It's just loud enough to hear in the cab. Easy install. The worst part about the installation is getting the passenger side hanger loose from the OEM muffler. It's at an odd angle to pry against, but that's Jeep's fault, not RC's. It tucks nicely up and out of the way and takes up much less real estate than the OEM. My only "complaint" is the awkward bolt placement on the tips. It is so close to the tip that a socket won't quite grip it. I had a Bank's exhaust on my 2011 JK and like how this one sounds better. And the axle back install is MUCH more straightforward than a full cat-back.
Very east install and love the deep sound. WORTH every penny!!!!
Good price, easy install, good sound.
Good product but loud. Rumbles like a muscle car. Hardest part of insulation was cutting old muffler off.
It’s very nice. It looks good, sounds good. It’s not obnoxiously loud, but definitely is louder.
sounds awsome easy to install, looks great
It’s a little loud but definitely gave me more power along with better mpg have not regeared it yet and I’m running 35s and pretty much lost six gear and this help get it back also have a injen cold air intake. But I would definitely buy again I love it just wish it did not have such a loud drone
Awesome, throaty sound. The muffler and tips were highly polished SSteel. Great looking tips. With the exhaust removal scissor pliars and a small amount of effort, the old muffler was off in 10-15 minutes. The new install fit perfectly and looks AWESOME! Lots of compliments. Gas mileage has improved.
It took about two months to ship from the manufacturer, I'll blame Covid, but was also hard to get shipping updates. The muffler looks good, I like the dual exhaust setup. It was very easy to install. My 2008 Jeep sounds like a tuner car, maybe just a little bit throatier. I have no idea if it added more power, torque, MPG, still drives the same to me. I don't think I would buy this model again, might go back to a stock muffler.
I live in Eastern Washington and I bought this because I thought it sounded better than stock and way better than straight pipe, install wasn't that difficult if you can wiggle your muffler off and didn't cut it off with a sawzall first. But after having this on for about 6 to 7 months now, I'm seeing some serious rust on the inside and out of my supposed to be matte black exhaust and it looks trashy. I do not recommend this at all
