Reviews for Rough Country 1068 Throttle Body Spacer for 84-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, Cherokee XJ, & Comanche MJ
Installed easily, just make sure you install the hidden/hard to reach bolt and spacer for the Throttle Cable Bracket first, and the engine seems to run slightly smoother now probably due to air/fuel ratio; currently high elevation UT.
I'm not going to give it a bad review just because it didn't fit my vehicle, but I know these are good items. FYI this does NOT fit 84-90 Renix throttle bodies, as they are 3 bolts, not 4.
Noticeable difference in throttle response. Nothing earth shattering, but enough to make it feel better and get power to the weak 94 4cyl a little faster.
Good value vs other options.
Price and performance
After reading a bunch of mixed reviews from online forums I decided to give this a shot. I completely took apart and cleaned the throttle body and sensors upon install. Noticeable difference for sure. I have a 95 Yj with the 2.5L. Night and day throttle response difference and 2mpg after 3 weeks of a trial run. The arm chair quarter backs online will say it’s not worth it. I cannot agree with them. I’m super happy with this product. Well worth the money.
The Rugged Ridge Throttle Body Spacer was extremely easy to install on my 97 2.5L Wrangler. Took about one half hour and done! Have not had it on the road yet but runs very smoothly. My TJ has over 200K on it and was running rough so this may have helped.
Easy install and very nice quality. It did add some power to taking off from a stop and seems to have helped with mileage too.
good quality
Will not fit 87-90 YJ 2.5L. Throttle Body on 87-90 YJ is rectangle shape not square.
