Reviews for Rough Country Hybrid Stubby Front Winch Bumper for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I searched for a few months trying to locate the best option that can house a 12k winch but sat low on the front tucked in. I have to say this bumper with the side fog lights is light and perfect. Welds are great and I always add another coat of paint on it but they were fine. I installed an SB 12k xrc winch and used a vacuum relocater as well and it came out perfect. Highly recommend.
Pretty easy install. Installed on a 2009 JK 2 door. Took about 1 1-1/2 hours since it was the first time the bumper has come off. Definitely planning on a winch. Looks great with Quadratec LED fog lights ( I did have to drill out the holes on the fog lights a little bigger 13/64 drill bit) overall a very good buy and highly recommend.
I ordered Monday morning and received Tuesday afternoon. I thought it would take a couple of weeks, but was pleasantly surprised. It took about an hour to install, but would have been quicker if the plastic screws had came out easier. Have to install the winch (have to buy it first). I think I’ll go with Rough Country items, I love the new look! Thanks!
Nice and easy to install, but if it come with winch hole cover that will be better.
Bought this bumper because the light weight seemed appealing, and buddy said his install went smooth as can be. However, this has not been my experience. Either Rough Country's QA was asleep at the wheel, or my Jeep was built on a Friday afternoon, because the center plate just is not fitting into the frame.
I'm doing my best to grind a tiny bit of material away from the tabs on either side, just to get the bumper able to start enough to convince it the rest of the way with a deadblow hammer, but obviously this is far from ideal and will weaken the bumper mounts a bit.
