Hi, Does this cover lock with a key?
No, the tailgate being locked is the only security. You cannot fold it back without access to release handle locate under the cover, in the bed, so keeping the tailgate locked keeps this secure.
Hi how hard is it to swap between the original soft cover and this hard one.
It will require a new install with new hardware and components which is not complicated
If you have a spray in bed liner (i.e. Rhino) can this still be easily installed?
The only issue that could arise with a spray in bed liner is that the bulkhead seals may not adhere properly due to the texturing. These seals are what create the seal with the tonneau cover.
Does the cover have prop rods to prop the last panel up when folded open for maximum space in the bed?
No there are no support rods, The final section is not recommended to be folded towards the cab during travel or damage to soft/hard top could occur. There is a set of straps to keep the sections down while traveling but all of the panels will lay flat on the section closest to the cab.
Is this thing waterproof? Could you haul soft luggage under it through a rainstorm without your clothes getting wet?
For the most part this is weatherproof and can even hold snow during a storm. During driving conditions running water could perk under the seal around the edge and get in. The bed will not be flooded but water could drip down onto the luggage near the rail.
How is this cover lockable? Can you open without opening tailgate?
The latches that control the folding mechanism are not accessible when the tailgate is closed. With the tailgate closed and locked, the cover is considered secured.
Where are the front latches to open the tonneau from the cab end? Can a photo be provided?
The latches are at the back by the tailgate. They are not visible or accessible when the tailgate is closed as a safety/security measure when the tailgate is locked, you cannot access the bed.
Does this cover have a release for the front/cab panel? How do you access the cargo from "both ends" as described?
It does. There are latches on the left and right that are released by a cable to access the front panel.
