Can the MasterTop Ultimate Summer Combo be used with the master top fastback top with the side windows removed?

Is this water proof ?
The material is, though this Summer Combo will protect you from sudden showers and rain while driving but it is not a Waterproof top. Water can enter through the tonneau cover sleeves and through the Windstopper/Tonneau connection. Do not take your vehicle through a car wash with this Summer Combo on the vehicle. Yes, a windshield header channel is required for mounting.

If you have a factory soft top, it will reuse those pieces required. When you select hardtop version, it will come with all of the components needed, if you do not have them.
What's the difference between the soft-top and hard-top versions of this kit?
