Is painting required do they have to be painted, spec says they are UV stabilized?
No painting is required.
How hard are these to install? Do I need to remove the bumper?
If you have lost trim ring you can simply snap this into the bumper in place of the original. These are not meant for installation on a bumper that was not originally fitted with them from the factory.
I have a 2018 Wrangler Sahara JL in Stingray gray. The trim around the headlights, the grill and fog lights is a different color silver. I'd like it all to be the same black color as the bumper. If I were to buy these and paint to match the black bumper...which black color would match closest? And do you sell the same trim pieces needed for the grill and the headlights?
The trim rings for the grille slats and headlights are on one unit, 6CG99TZZAC. These bumper rings as well as the grille trim are shipped black for customizing. We do not offer a black to match the bumper however, the black we offer is the PX8 Black that is used for the Jeeps body color.
I have a 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S JL with plastic bumpers but I do not see any openings that would allow these to clip in, are there different types of plastic numbers on the JL and if so do you sell one that applies with adhesive instead of the clips?
This is not for the sport bumper. This is for the bumper that is offered on North, Altitude, Sahara, and Rubicon Wranglers. We do not offer any adhesive appliques for the base bumpers.
I have a 2018 Stingray JL Sahara. The original caps are not stingray color. They are a lighter shiny gray. How can I find out what color to paint them so that it matches the original paint?

Do these essentially match the color of the OEM bumper? If so, will they fade from exposure to UV? Just wondering if I can buy these to replace the silver ones on my Gladiator Overland. Thanks!
Essentially. They are a smooth bare plastic, but will need some finish or they will fade. They are not UV stabilized as they are supposed to be painted.
I've seen this in grey - in a comment above you say that you could paint these. I'd like to find out more about you doing that. Thanks!
We do not offer a painting service, but these are able and intended to be painted to match trim levels
how do you remove the old trim?
You would have to remove the bumper and release the clips from behind the bumper. Pulling out from the front could damage the applique or the bumper fascia

Replacement parts do not have printed/digital instructions available for distribution. Any instruction would be covered in factory service manuals from the dealership. This part however, snaps onto the bumper endcap where the previous ring was located. With the old trim removed you will see the clip locations.
