Reviews for Quadratec Aluminum Modular Transfer Case Skid Plate for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited & Gladiator JT with 3.6L engine
Absolutely love this. Kicked the absolute crap out of it during a week in Moab. Took all the hits. Saved my exhaust and transmission more times than I can count. Certainly is not new anymore. Looks like it got hit by a missile at this point. But thats what it is for. No complaints at all. Doesn't rattle around. Don't even notice its there until you hit. Then you are glad you have it. Robust cross member and that it eliminates the stock cross member as a catch point is a game changer. Easy to install in about 45-60 minutes for both parts. Easy to do just crawing underneath the Jeep in my driveway. Get it!!
Light, strong and easy install
Love it! Tried ordering this months ago with the oil & tranny skid as a combo but was on b/o for quite a while. Finally arrived, earlier than anticipated, and was able to mount before my scheduled monthly Jeep run! Love the modular, interlocking design, and the aluminum is great, despite what all the stubborn steel lovers say. Steel is old school. Auminum is superior in every aspect. Strength, weight, durability and looks even ;)
Time will tell. My stock JLUR TC skid was pretty scraped up. So I decided I wanted aluminum to keep the weight down. The skid seems solid but it does hang down 1" lower than the OEM skid. I'm not happy about the 1" loss of ground clearance! Not yet sure if this will stay on the Jeep. I might be looking for a different skid that has the same clearance as stock.
