Reviews for Rough Country 2.5in Spacer Lift Kit for 18-24 Jeep Wrangler JL
Love this lift! Used only hand tools, one Jack and 2 Jack stands on a sloped driveway to install and had no issues but you do have to put the wheels back on before reconnecting the driveshaft and sway bar I believe. I have noticed a thumping noise immediately after install coming from the front of the vehicle so it may be the fender liner or something more serious causing problems..
Purchased for a 2019 Jeep JL 2 door. Packaging was excellent and shipping was fast. Took me and a buddy 4 hours in my garage floor for lift and new tires install. Instructions were good had a couple bolts that were hard to get to so I’d say 3 hour install with small hands. Lift feels as good or a tad better then factory suspension. We installed 315x75Rx18 (34.8”x12.5) tires and have a slight rub on front fender at full turn.
Looks and rides great no issues!
Great factory ride, no rubbing, no wheel spacers with factory wheels and BFG KO2 37x12.50. Perfect lift for price and extra clearance.
Good quality kit and great price. Achieved the lift and look I was looking for. The instructions from Rough Country are terrible. Highly recommend finding a video on YouTube. Pieces in the kit have been updated since the instructions were written.
Incorrect bolts for the rear linkages were provided, resulting in a trip to the hardware store mid build.
Directions are vague. Used the YouTube video as well to help with install. Short two gold bolts. Thanks, Rough Country! My jeep is still on an auto lift because the store was closed.
Good price, and does the job... mostly. Would give more stars except I had to run out for replacement bolts at 2 different points. The front bump stop mounting hardware does not work on 21 JLU Willys. The spring mounting pad on the Dana 44 front axle is raised and the nuts are not accessible. I added longer bolts with a spacer. This was inconvenient but manageable. How ever the unforgiving part was the bolts for rear sway bar were the incorrect size. They were to large in diameter to fit through the eyelet. This was the second trip to the hardware store 10 minutes prior to closing. They say half a day to install, but if you don’t have a lift, air compressor and impact handy, plan on taking the better part of the day. I started at 9am finish around 5:30pm. The budget side can’t be beet, even with the additional cost of extra bolts.
