Reviews for LoD Destroyer Series Rock Sliders for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited 4-Door
VERY HEAVY DUTY FOR SERIOUS OFF ROADERS. BEST ROCK RAILS I HAVE EVER USED ON A BUILD.
Replaced the stock Rubicon X rock rails and when first installed, just used the stock holes and bolts.
Frequently carry gear on roof and so needed something that could work as a step, but also continue providing protection. These really seemed to be the only rock sliders that actually provided real steps.
REVIEW of LoD Offroad ¦ Destroyer Rock Sliders for JEEP JK 4DR ¦ JK0704INS. These are some solid Rock Sliders. They are extremely well built and very heavy duty! I had to use a Floor Jack to get these installed, since I installed them myself. My only complaint is that the Installation Instructions were not very clear on how to install the PS RearFlag Nut, but I figured it out. There is no need to drill the 4 Extra Holes, because they are secure with the existing Mounting Points. I highly recommend this Product and this Vendor!
The Lod destroyer rock sliders are top grade form and function. Installing them was a breeze. They are heavy so it is helpful to have a helper. There is no doubt these will protect your jeep. The hardest part as with pretty much every upgrade was removing the parts we were replacing.
Excellent rock sliders
Easy install, well built and they look great.
They’re pretty heavy, so have a friend help if you can’t figure out a way to do it yourself.
Fantastic quality. VERY sturdy and extremely well constructed. Install was easy, using a combination of existing frame nuts and supplied hardware. No specialty tools needed, just some 16mm, 18mm, and 19mm sockets and a 7/16th drill bit. I used an impact gun for most of it, with one 19mm crescent wrench, and a torque wrench at the end. Total install time was about 1.5hrs as I had already removed the Rubicon rock rails previously. Some drilling needed for additional hard mounts, but not required. Recommend getting a friend to help install as these are heavy to hold in place by yourself. They have great clearance for larger tires as the rock sliders don't quite make it to the wheel wells and are tapered away. I have had not problems with clearance with 37" tires whatsoever.
LoD advertises that these can be used to lift a Jeep by only the rock sliders and I definitely believe it. There are even Hi-Lift jack points cut in to the underside of each slider. The black finish heavily coats the sliders and should stand up well to abuse.
The only downside is that these are manufactured to order and shipped from LoD. Total time from order to delivery was just over 5 weeks - but well worth the wait for such a strong and unique set of rails. Highly recommended!
