What is the difference between the twill and diamond top? And which one is the stock top? Please let me know.

Answer

Sailcloth Black Diamond is slick to the touch like vinyl. The standard non premium Sunrider is Sailcloth. Premium Sunrider tops use Twill. It is thicker fabric that has a canvas feel and the finish and appearance is similar to high end sports car convertible tops. Twill holds it's color better and looks fantastic again after saturating downpours. Twill is very low maintenance and has much better longevity. Twill will be better with exterior road noise as well. I have currently purchased this item as I had my sodt top punctured with holes... However I am not oriented with how to separate the fabric from the metal frame and cable-latch system in order to install my new black diamond item....can you pls send instructions? Would appreciate that

Instructions are not available for distribution, as this is a factory replacement part, instruction would be covered in factory service manuals

I currently have the black diamond top on my Jeep. Can I simply order a replacement twill deck (and side windows) or are there hardware incompatibilities?

The hardware is the same, you can change just the skin and windows if you would like to upgrade.

I've been looking for a complete Tan Twill Soft Top for a 2-door JL. Anywhere I look, it seems like only the 4-door one is available for purchase. Is there one available for the 2-door JL?

For whatever reason Jeep does not offer the Tan twill soft top for the 2-door JL Wrangler as an aftermarket purchase. The only way to get tan top would be to purchase the deck and windows and swap out for a black top.

I have a 2020 JL with factory soft top now- black. I want to swap it for a tan color.. Can i just purchase this and swap the fabric, or do i have to buy new hardware as well? Apparently it is impossible to buy a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL with a Tan top.... Thanks

The hardware is the same so you would just have to purchase the deck and windows and swap for the black that you have

Does this tan soft top include the bows and hinge system, or just the "material" of the soft top?

This is just the material replacement for the top. We have updated to show table top photos of the product to better illustrate what is shipped.

How do i know what soft top material I have I am looking to get tinted windows for my 2018 jl soft top

You can look on the paperwork or window sticker from the dealership. What would be listed as Premium black sunrider soft top is the twill material. This twill material also has a decorative backing that you can look for on your soft top. If the back-side of your soft top skin has a checker-board style embroidered black fabric, that is the Premium Twill. The Black Diamond Sailcloth material has the raw gray look on the back of the soft top.
