Reviews for AEV Borah Wheel for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Looks great on the jeep
This was a surprise gift for my Wife's 392 Rubicon. On 35" KO2's, the offset is absolutely perfect and the quality is at the highest of levels. I have to say..that it actually looks better without the bead locker.
Super happy with the wheels. Great offset and just a little bit of "poke" but not too much. Mounted 35" tires on them. Also have the 2" AEV lift/spacer kit as well.
Very happy with these JL specific wheels. I purchased with the rock rings, which have taken a beating, but the wheels are protected. These wheels run very true and do not negatively affect balancing the tire/wheel assembly. The valve stems are very protected in a recessed cavity.
AEV makes the very best products
I bought these without the trim rings or bead-lock rings. I wasn't sure which I wanted. Beware: the rings come with bolts to attach them. If you don't get the rings, you need to order a set of plastic bolts for each wheel. These preserve the threaded holes for the bolts for the rings when you decide to get them. I put in bolts from the local hardware store. The first rock I slid off of gauged the wheel and the bolt heads. The wheels are precisely machined. I added these wheels, the 2.5 inch AEV dual-sport suspension and 37x12.5 Milestar Patagonia MT tires to my 2019 JL 2-door and have had no issues with tire clearance. I will add the bead-lock rings. I live 1.5 miles of dirt/mud/snow road back into the hills in Montana, so airing way down can be a seasonal necessity. The flexibility of using bead locks or using trim rings is a major advantage of these wheels. (The look great too.)
Love the wheels! Looks great and functional... The only criticism, the bolts for the rings are too exposed for rock rashes. Better design would be recess bolts for better protection. Overall, I'm happy with them.
