There are a lot of choices for Jeep accessories, and a lot of vendors. I found Quadratec at the top of most searches and reviews and decided to try them as my primary source. I love that I can set my Jeep up in their system and filter for items that work on my Jeep. And yes, I am hoping QT sends me a tshirt or something, but they really have great customer service, an easy to use interface for online shopping, and my side rails arrived on time and were exactly what I had hoped for when I ordered. So I ordered the rest of my ‘set-up’ gear and have been completely satisfied with all products and all phases of the ordering and receiving process. The rails were packaged extremely well. I spent some time that Saturday breaking down all the cardboard for my recycler. The rails are heavy -as in ‘good and tough’ heavy. The hardware was simple to sort, and I had all the correct tools which I highly recommend. Installing these with makeshift tools would be a bear. Quadratec does a great job of providing printed instructions as well as an online pdf, so I was very familiar with the install process before I started. I do recommend, as does Quadratec, to have a second person to help hold up one end while you start on the other. But I’m a little impulsive and did it all myself early in the morning while my family slumbered. Everything lined up perfectly, and I learned a lot installing the drivers side, which took about 30-45 minutes. The passenger side went a little quicker. The hardest part was balancing the rails since I did it without help (really—get a buddy to help on this and it will go much easier). The rails looks great, are sturdy as heck, provide great traction, and do not get in the way on the side of the Jeep. The price is right on these, and I highly recommend them to you!
