Quality parts.

Bought this tailgate seal about a month and similar to the other reviews, it did not fit the way expected on my 2000 TJ's tailgate. It was longer than what it should have been, causing it to overhang on both sides. When I tried closing it, all the extra material kept the gate from closing.

I tried contacting customer service multiple times to get a refund, since the part does not met the expectations Quadratec advertises on their website. The first response I got was "the item you're attempting to return was bought over 30 days ago (this was two weeks after I ordered the part). Then I did the online chat and was told I couldn't return an installed item, but would ask their manager. A couple days back, same answer, that I couldn't return an installed item... Which, again, I didn't want to return it, the seal is already in the trash. I wanted a refund. But, now I'm just out $80+ and have to go elsewhere to find a seal.

Same as other reviews, shoddy replacement: End pins are not the right size for the holes of the tailgate, rubber length is not adequate, about 3/10" longer, the adhesive tape fell off, It comes off when you remove the protective plastic, the piece arrived with one of the lower folds wrong to follow the contour of the door.

The advertising indicates is an improved product, if they did not supply me with an unimproved one, it is still of very poor quality.

I regret removing the one I had, it was wrong, but it will be better than the replacement. I would not recommend buying this product, I am not a satisfied customer.

At least the supplier is consistent. The backing removes the foam tape. Had to use my own 3M tape to apply the seal. Broke one of the push pins because they were too big. Had to drill out the holes. A 30 minute job ended up being more than 2
Hours trying to get all the correct materials and tools together.

Same as above, you can not remove the protective film without ruining the whole seal. Also the two pins are much too big, you have to drill the hole out to make the pin fit, by than you have destroyed the pin…. I’m still looking to purchase one that is satisfactory.

The peel-and-stick tape that is intended to attach this seal to the tailgate was, for lack of a better word, hardened. When I tried to peel the protective film back to expose the adhesive surface that adhesive surface material pulled back with it. I tried starting from the other end, and the some thing happened. This cannot be used.

As with another review, I had the same issues. The 2 pins are too big for the hole and the removable tape covering the adhesive was impossible to remove. I had paid the regular price, and was rather agitated to have this happen. Bad engineering from the start.

The fit is not great as it appears to be a little long. The pins to hold the seal in are the wrong size and the double sided tape does not seperate at all. While working to seperate the tape it actually tore the tape resulting in the need to purchase 3m and replace it so that the seal would actually sit properly in the gate. I would not recomend buying this product.
