Wanted the locks as the Jeep sits outside sometimes in areas that can be concerning. Locking or unlocking is a sketchy partial sort of 75% key insertion that requires lots of jiggling to engage/disengage IF it turns at all. I can count the number of times the Jeep has been wet since I installed the locks 5 months ago on one hand so I have to go with design issue. 2 stars for looking good. I am on the lookout for an alternative.

key/lock is a joke.. and apparently you can't get a spare key??(only saw that after receiving and leaving this review) will return I think. posted a pic of the key, it's basically straight, no teeth to move tumblers

The lock mechanism doesn't need the key to unlock. I discovered this when lock tumblers worked themselves halfway unlock after a 700 mile road trip. I then inserted just the tip of the key into either of my locks and could rotate to lock or unlock without effort. Fails to deliver on its promise of securing my hood.
