Reviews for Crown Automotive D44TJDBBK Dana 44 Rear Axle Bearing Kit for 03-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ and Unlimited with Disc Brakes
Great quality and would buy again!
Garage, wasted my time and money. Thought I did the install wrong " if that can be done" so after the first set leaked I install another set. They started leaking too as soon as I pull the jeep out of the garage.
Dont waste your money.
Bought 2 kits seals are low quality and broke down causing me to have to buy new e-brake shoes and pads AGAIN. VERY LOW QUALITY!
Bought two of these kits. Drivers side worked well but the passenger side leaks worse than before. Seal mfgrs need to up their QA game. This sucks! Buying somewhere else now.
Bought this to replace a leaking seal on my 03 Rubicon. Pressed on the new bearing and retainer. Axle seal surface looked good. Drove to work and back. It leaked worse than the one I replaced. Removed the axle and contacted Crown Automotive. They told me to contact Quadratec and asked for pictures. I sent pictures. The lip portion of the seal was uneven. No reply from crown Automotive. I contacted Quadratec then and explained it to them. Forwarded the pictures along with my conversation with crown Automotive. No reply from Quadratec what so ever. Cut the new bearing and retainer off. Bought a Duralast seal, bearing and retainer from Autozone. Excellent. No leak now.
These things have never sealed since I bought them. I'm about to throw them away and buy a set locally to try and fix my leaks. My shafts are good btw.
