I have a 2018 Jeep JL sport 4 door with a soft top. I want to switch to a hardtop. What exactly do I need besides the hard top itself?

Can i, or should i say do i, need to completely remove my existing soft top to use?
Yes, you will have to disconnect the spring mechanism from the sport bar which will allow you to pull off the assembly, then remove the door surrounds and corners clips.
What is the weight of this hardtop?
The top and panels weigh approximately 85 lbs
I currently have a soft top, will this have everything needed to make the switch?
This includes the hardware and seals but you will need to get and have the dealership install and activate the wiring and controls for the rear window wiper and defrost
HVAC controller? Is that yet another item besides the wiring harness that I'd need to get? If so, what is it exactly?
For vehicles with manual mirrors the Heater-A/C controls need to be changed along with the installation of the wiring for the rear defrost to function properly. Please check with your local dealership as to which controller to use as there are a few options that are VIN specific.
Does this come with the rear wiper as well?
Yes this includes the rear wiper and defrost system. You will need to make sure your vehicle has the wiring and connector at the driver side rear corner.

Yes, the rear window has a defroster in it.
