Reviews for Crown Automotive RT52005 Sun Visor Set in Black for 87-95 YJ Wrangler
The visors themselves are fantastic. Build quality is exquisite and the look is fantastic for the inside of my YJ. Installation was slightly difficult in that the bracket holes did not line up with my factory bracket holes. This led me to have to drill new holes in the windshield frame to install them. Not too much work but just be aware the new brackets might not line up perfect with the original ones.
Nice looking/working. Not an ideal fit. Save your old ones for parts. This does not include screws. Worse than that though, you will have to reuse the J-shaped rod from your old visors to clear the sport bar windshield mount correctly on a YJ. The original J-bar have an extra bend for clearance, these new ones are flat. The J-bars are hand pressed in, you may have to twist and tug to get them out, and/or line them up with your holes. At least the adjustability helps you align to clear your rear view mirror. They may not line up correctly out of the box.
**Please help!!** Either my little girl muscles are too weak to adjust the rods or the set of visors that I got is defective. Please tell me how to pull the j-hooks apart so that I can install these on my jeep. I have tried pulling and twisting, but they won't budge.
Thank you.
The Visors look good, but they do not line up with the factory holes. I had to drill new pilot holes in the window frame and use self sheet metal screws to secure them.
Not a big deal just don't know why they don't make them to the factory specs.
Product looks great. They look exactly like the old ones. However, it does not fit our 1987 Jeep. The brackets are too wide and won't fit the existing holes. We are returning them.
GARBAGE! They forgot to drill a whole set of holes on the visors… disappointed to say the least
Not even close. The material is good but the brackets make it impossible to mount these without drilling new holes. My keep already has enough holes. The brackets are also backwards in certain places and wouldn’t bolt up anyway.
